Soucheray: Enjoy those loons on Sunfish Lake, governor

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 03:57:43 GMT

The governor, apparently not so tone deaf that he won’t hear the loons from the deck, will be renting Mike McFadden’s estate on Sunfish Lake for 18 months, from May until the fall of 2024, for $17,326 a month, or $314,662.50 total. We will. On top of everything else, most principally Walz’s ever expanding and more expensive state government, Walz has us foot the bill for his lodging. The guy doesn’t own a house. He lives in the governor’s mansion on Summit Avenue, but the mansion needs renovation to the tune of $6.3 million. If I’m ...
